Nice little cafe. Stopped here for breakfast. Glad we did. Had a coffee and a sandwich. Excellent taste. Friendly and helpful staff.
Stopped over here on our way to Geraldton from Monkey Mia. Beef pies were good. So good that I bought takeaway to eat later. So good that my kids ate up all the pies while I was driving
When walking in the staff were very friendly and greeted me with a smile. Great range of cakes and savouries, all baked and made on site. I enjoyed a great coffee and very well priced. Great to support local community on our way through. Definitely take the time to stop in if your passing through. Vanilla slice is to die for.
Such pleasant service from the bakery staff! Almond cap was smooth and pretty hot… a solid 8/10 for flavour (with 3 shots). Pies were tasty too. We even had the bonus of a guy busking across the street outside the hardware store the day we were there!!
If you're after a custard tart this is the best place to buy one. Thin crispy pastry topped with an enormous amount of beautiful custard! Best custard tart I have ever had!
Wren’s Place Bakery Café – Review I stopped in at Wren’s Place Bakery Café expecting a decent country breakfast and a good coffee. The café itself is spacious and clean, with a casual, small-town bakery feel. The display cabinets were well stocked with pies, sausage rolls, and pastries, and the drinks menu offered a solid variety, including smoothies, milkshakes, and all the standard coffee choices. I ordered the Very Berry smoothie, which was easily the highlight of my visit – thick, cold, and full of fresh flavour. If you’re after something refreshing, I’d recommend it. Unfortunately, breakfast was where things fell short. I ordered eggs on toast and was surprised to see it arrive on a paper plate, with a disposable knife and fork. For a dine-in café, this instantly felt cheap and out of place. It’s the kind of serviceware you expect for takeaway or at a food truck, not when you’re sitting down inside. The eggs were cooked fine, but the toast was pale and soft rather than properly browned and crisp. Presentation matters, and this gave the whole meal a lacklustre feel. It’s small details like this – proper crockery, metal cutlery, and toast cooked to a golden brown – that make a big difference in whether a breakfast feels worth the price. On the plus side, service was polite and the atmosphere was relaxed. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, but the breakfast quality didn’t match the freshness of the drinks. Verdict: A handy stop for coffee or a smoothie, but I wouldn’t return for breakfast unless they improve the presentation and cooking standards.
Vanilla slice -disappointed I got the corner piece (not much custard) otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars for taste but 1 star for presentation
OMG!! A hiddden gem. We stopped in on our way home to Carnarvon. The food is nothing short of amazing, awesome coffee, speedy service and hat’s off to the lady who served us (owner?) she was on her own and doing a great job. I hope the town of Northampton supports her well - she’s definitely a business you wouldn’t want to lose.
